Laura Fox was named the head coach at Hood College in the summer of 2019.
She arrives at Hood after serving as the offensive coordinator at the University of Delaware for the 2019 season. Fox coached players to the single-season records for assists and draw controls during her lone season with the Blue Hens.
Prior to Delaware, she served as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary's, Holy Cross and Lycoming.
At Mount St. Mary’s, Fox served as the defensive coordinator and goalie coach as the Mounties ranked third in Division I in scoring defense. She coached the NEC Defensive Player of the Year, the All-ECAC Second Team goalie and three players that earned All-NEC honors.
Fox was the defensive coordinator for Holy Cross for two seasons from 2016-17. She got her start in coaching at the Division III level within the MAC Commonwealth at Lycoming College. During her lone season with the program, the Warriors posted their best season in five years.
The former Laura Zinkand, Fox graduated from Towson University in 2014 with a degree in biology. In her senior year with the Tigers, Fox started 15 games, finished fifth on the team with 12 goals and helped lead the squad to a CAA Championship and berth into the NCAA Tournament. Fox also played two seasons of lacrosse at Cincinnati before transferring to Towson.
In addition to her Bachelor of Science degree from Towson, she earned her Master of Science in sport management from Mount St. Mary’s in 2018.
